Have you ever wondered:
Why can the same words or actions be understood in completely different ways by people from different cultural backgrounds?
How can we work, communicate, and build connections confidently in multicultural environments without unintentionally creating stereotypes or barriers?
With the theme “Going Beyond Cultural Competence: Building Communities of Care Through Cultural Humility”, this Master Class offers a new perspective. Instead of simply learning a set of standard communication rules, participants will learn how to “Look inward before looking outward”.
What will you gain from the Master Class?
- Move beyond stereotypes and cultural assumptions: Understand people through their individual experiences rather than simply “labeling” them based on surface-level cultural differences.
- Practice Cultural Humility: Develop an understanding of four core practices: maintaining a learning mindset, self-reflection, recognizing power dynamics, and maintaining an other-oriented approach.
- Master the T.I.M.E. model: Learn how to manage emotions, build trust, and develop strong connections within international teams.
- Gain hands-on experience: Discuss case studies and work through real-life cross-cultural communication situations with lecturers and experts.
